JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer III to lead secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and automation within the Trust & Security tech team. You will design, deploy, and manage AWS-based services, container orchestration, and observability, while advancing automation and AI-assisted development practices.

Strong partnerships with development teams are required for reliable deployments.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
Hands-on experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and evaluating outputs.
Understanding of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOps.
Experience in Java, Spring Boot or scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python).
Strong expertise in AWS including EC2, S3, EKS, ECS Fargate, VPC, IAM and networking.
Proven track record of building automated deployment environments.
Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS for container orchestration.
Observability including metrics/logging/tracing and CI/CD workflows (Jenkins/Spinnaker).
Experience with security best practices in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding standards.
Applies SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS.
Identify opportunities to automate remediation to improve operational stability.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Implement logging and tracing using ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and CloudWatch.
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and ensure smooth deployment and operation.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software lifecycle.
Ensure disaster recovery with multi-region deployments, backups, and failover.
Evaluate and implement modern technologies to improve operational efficiency.
