Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the software industry, specializing in Java, Python, AWS (including EKS, S3, Lambda, EMR), and Terraform.
• Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with QA for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security expectations.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and reliability.
• Uses SDLC tools to improve automation and production value.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and robust algorithms.
• Creates architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to visualize and improve software systems.
