We’re seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to help design and implement our growing platform, shaping our CI/CD, cloud architecture, and DevOps strategies. You will enable other teams to build effective applications for trading through automation, cloud engineering, and platform development.

What You’ll Do

1. Expand and enhance CI/CD systems, infrastructure as code, build orchestration, and environment automation.
2. Architect and manage large-scale Kubernetes workloads.
3. Own DevOps and cloud solutions from inception to delivery, including design, observability, and maintainability.
4. Collaborate with development teams to deliver observable, self-service platforms.
5. Monitor performance and costs of cloud systems and pipelines, optimizing with team input.
6. Enhance your development experience knowledge to support other developers and quants.
7. Leverage your expertise to improve team products and challenge assumptions.
8. Take full ownership of projects from design to deployment and maintenance.

What You'll Need

1. 3-5 years of experience.
2. Proficiency in compiling and deploying software in C++, Python, and Java.
3. Experience with build automation tools like Bazel.
4. Design, build, and operate hybrid cloud/on-prem Kubernetes/Helm architectures.
5. Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and SaaS/PaaS products.
6. Experience with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch.
7. Strong Linux and networking skills.
8. Proficiency with Terraform, including modularization.
9. Experience delivering bespoke development platforms.
10. Familiarity with major CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, ArgoCD, Jenkins.
11. Experience with package management tools like pipy, conan, maven, conda.

Nice to have

1. Experience with cloud-based data warehousing at scale (20+ petabytes) using BigQuery, AWS RedShift, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.
2. Knowledge of job orchestration services like Apache Airflow.
3. Advanced Linux skills, including kernel, memory tuning, and container optimizations.
4. Experience with streaming data and messaging systems like Apache Pulsar or Kafka.
