Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end automation of delivery pipelines and harden environments from bare metal to cloud. You will work closely with developers, testers, product owners, and customers to ensure secure, reliable deployments.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, 5–7 years of relevant experience, and hands-on expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and AWS. Onsite in Herndon, VA with 10–15% travel.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Strong Linux (RHEL/Debian) background with systemd, networking tools, and shell scripting.
• IaC expertise with Terraform and Ansible to automate environments.
• Hands-on with Docker and familiarity with Nomad, Vault, and Kubernetes.
• Python and Bash for automation and glue code.
• Cloud experience with at least one provider (preferably AWS).
• CI/CD tooling experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab Pipelines.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, ports, firewalls, and proxies.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Travel 10–15% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end automation of delivery pipelines.
• Harden deployment environments to be secure by default across bare metal, on-prem, and cloud.
• Collaborate with engineering to maintain operational, scalable decompositions.
• Provision environments using Terraform and Ansible.
• Provide feedback to improve deployability and system architecture.
• Document deployment and operational aspects of the system.
