Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain DevOps resources for multiple product teams. You will automate build and deployment, develop IaC, and enable teams to operate at scale with Kubernetes and AWS.

The ideal candidate will have Terraform, Ansible, and Python expertise, plus strong GitLab CI/CD experience and hands-on with Kubernetes/EKS. Collaboration and initiative are essential in this team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 20 years of experience as a system engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 5 additional years of system-engineer experience in lieu.
• Terraform, Ansible, and Python are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain DevOps resources for multiple product teams and enable automated build and deploy where possible.
• Develop infrastructure as code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
• Install, configure, and tune performance with Kubernetes and cloud-native logging/metrics tools (Elasticsearch, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code with GitLab runners and Argo CD.
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, EKS, RDS, S3, EFS, EBS) using Terraform and auto scaling.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders in a team-oriented DevOps environment.
