Job summary

Phoenix Operations Group is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to maintain and advance a hybrid DevSecOps pipeline across cloud and edge environments. The role emphasizes automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes with AWS.

Strong focus on security clearances and Agile practices guides daily work. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps or software development, proficiency in Python/Bash/Go, and experience in AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda).

Qualifications

• Security clearance TS/SCI; US citizenship required.
• 5+ years DevOps Eng or software development with related degree; or 3 years with a Master's; or 9 years with HS diploma.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and deployment/management of infrastructure.
• Proficient in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Go in development/ops.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other deployment tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies; hybrid work environment.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 certifications (e.g., Security+).

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support development and deployment of on-premise/Edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes and tools for high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies; explore innovations for infrastructure.
• Other duties as assigned.
