Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Mid to Senior DevOps Engineer to support government, defense, and intelligence missions in Chantilly, VA. You will design secure DevOps solutions, automate deployments, and drive CI/CD while maintaining strict security and compliance.

A TS/SCI clearance is required and prior DoD or IC experience is highly valued. You will work with cloud platforms, IaC, and container tech to ensure reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret SCI security clearance is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in government contracting, DoD, or intelligence community.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design secure and scalable DevOps solutions for mission-critical systems.
• Automate infrastructure and orchestration; build and maintain automated deployment pipelines.
• Drive CI/CD adoption and reliable software releases with integrity checks.
• Implement security best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor performance and optimize uptime, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, admins, and security specialists to share knowledge.
