Job summary

ACT1 Federal LLC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps & Software Engineer to provide senior-level software-engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity-engineering, and implementation-support for the Navy's Data Management and Performance Assessment programs. The engineer will secure, deploy, and sustain software applications and analytic tools in government environments.

The role requires a senior SME with hands-on design, development, testing, containerization, and secure deployment across

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related quantitative discipline.
10+ years’ experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, platform engineering, cloud-native development, cybersecurity engineering, or related technical fields.
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing, containerizing, securing, and deploying production software applications.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source-control, artifact-management, automated testing, deployment automation, and release-management practices.
Experience with Python or a comparable modern programming language.
Experience with container technologies, orchestration, IaC, and cloud-native deployment.

Responsibilities

Provide software-engineering, DevSecOps, cybersecurity-engineering, platform-engineering, and implementation-support services.
Design, develop, test, document, maintain, and support deployment of software applications and analytic tools.
Develop applications using Python or similar languages.
Design secure architectures, APIs, data integrations, authentication/authorization, logging, and performance management.
Containerize applications, configure orchestrations, and support deployments in Gov-approved environments.
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, SCM, artifact-management, automated testing, and release-management workflows.
Create infrastructure-as-code artifacts and automation to support delivery and sustainment.
Coordinate with DASN (DIB) and other government stakeholders on technical products and security requirements.
Prepare technical artifacts and executive briefings for senior stakeholders.
