Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a senior DevOps engineer to design and manage development operations infrastructure for the Lunar Ground Software team, building automated pipelines across environments and ensuring robust software deployments.

You will lead automation, monitoring, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to integrate DevOps into the software lifecycle while upholding certification standards for safety‑critical software.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years professional experience in DevOps or related role.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, CI/CD.
• Experience developing and owning CI/CD pipelines delivering high quality work.
• Experience improving stability through monitoring, analysis, reviews and feedback.
• AWS knowledge - VPC, EC2, and EKS at a minimum.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of software defined networking (VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, VPNs).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
• Lead initiatives to enhance automation, deployment frequency, and reduce manual interventions.
• Participate in architectural discussions for scalable, secure DevOps practices.
• Audit CI/CD pipelines for compliance with standards.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor system performance and team productivity.
