Job summary
SAP Sovereign Cloud is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to own infrastructure tooling for secure, scalable cloud operations. You will design and implement tooling, automate delivery with IaC, and lead PoC efforts while mentoring juniors.
The role requires strong IaC, cloud provider know-how (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack), Kubernetes expertise, and a willingness to obtain governmental clearance. Expect up to 10% travel.
Qualifications
- Must have heavy Terraform and Ansible IaC experience.
- A deep understanding of AWS, GCP, Azure and OpenStack is required.
- Strong Kubernetes expertise, including containerising VM workloads.
- Experience with scripting languages and cloud automation pipelines.
- Degree in CS, engineering or related field (or equivalent).
- Fluent English in speaking and writing is required.
- Willingness to undergo government security clearance for the role.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the infrastructure toolset for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations.
- Lead PoC development and integrate tooling into production environments.
- Automate delivery workflows and provisioning at scale with IaC.
- Troubleshoot complex infra issues and deliver durable resolutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.
- Collaborate with security and architecture teams on standards.
