Sunbird Software Inc. is seeking a Senior Development Operations Engineer to enhance our software development team. This key position focuses on Linux hardening, CI/CD pipelines, and automating server configurations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scripting experience with Ruby, Perl, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
• Proven experience with CI/CD processes using Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Maintain administrative scripts for solution deployment.
• Migrate scripts from Perl to Python or Ruby.
• Manage OS and software updates for security compliance.
• Administer CI/CD pipelines and build automation.
• Automate PostgreSQL database operations.
• Support on-premises infrastructure.

Skills

Scripting expertise with Bash and any of Perl, Python, or Ruby

Detailed understanding of Linux operating systems

Experience creating kickstarts or similar system installation technologies

Designing and implementing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines

Troubleshooting operating system issues

Database management skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
