Job summary

Plenful is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and scale our cloud infrastructure and deployment systems. You will work across our distributed workflow engine, serverless pipelines, containerized services, and Postgres data layer.

You’ll partner with backend, data science, and security teams to improve reliability, observability, and developer experience while maintaining a fast pace in a hybrid work environment in San Francisco and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years in professional engineering at a B2B SaaS company.
• Hands-on production systems in cloud environments (AWS).
• IaC experience with Terraform or similar, CI/CD, and modern deployment workflows.
• Experience with serverless, containers, distributed workflows, and Postgres.
• Strong observability, performance debugging, and load handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud infrastructure with IaC, focusing on scalability and consistency.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe deployments.
• Standardize deployment patterns across serverless workloads, containers, and workflow orchestration.
• Improve provisioning/configuration/deployment to reduce friction for engineers.
• Develop internal tooling to streamline backend and ML workflows.
• Improve local and staging environments to cut friction in development and testing.
• Enable self-service infrastructure through abstractions, templates, and docs.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks in the dev and deployment lifecycle.
• Define observability standards for metrics/logs/tracing and drive reliability.
