Job summary

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized microservices, and cloud-native architectures. You will work with Java Spring Boot, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and event-driven systems, while supporting on-call responsibilities and remote collaboration.

The role requires a Secret clearance or higher, strong Agile experience, and hands-on expertise with Kafka, GitOps, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in IT or technology; certification(s) may substitute up to 2 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree with total 10 years of experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance or above.
• Experience working within Agile Framework.
• 5+ years of experience in Java OOP.
• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containers; automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
• Experience with Cloud-native architecture.
• Event-driven architectures.
• 5+ years experience with Apache Kafka, Pub/Sub, Streaming, Event sources, and GitOps in version control tools.
• Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control management.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications and microservices within an event-driven architecture using Spring Boot.
• Interface with various databases including Elasticsearch, NoSQL, and SQL.
• Create and update application building pipelines.
• Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service provider (e.g., AWS, OpenShift).
• Debug Kubernetes (OpenShift) clusters and microservices.
• Install and manage open-source monitoring tools.
• Architect CI/CD and continuous monitoring pipelines.
• Use Docker/Podman for containerization.
