Job summary

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and maintain Java applications and microservices in a Spring Boot/on-call framework. You will work with Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and performance across distributed systems.

The role requires 8+ years in IT, an active Secret clearance, and experience with Kafka, GitOps, and container orchestration. Remote work is supported with periodic travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8 years of IT or technology experience; certs may substitute up to 2 years
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with total 10 years’ experience
• Active Secret clearance or higher required
• Experience in Agile environments
• 5+ years Java OO programming
• 5+ years Kubernetes and container automation
• Cloud-native architecture experience
• Event-driven architectures with Kafka, Pub/Sub, streaming
• GitOps in version control (GitLab, Git, ArgoCD, Tekton)

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications and microservices in an event-driven Spring Boot architecture
• Interface with Elasticsearch, NoSQL, and SQL databases
• Create and update application build pipelines
• Deploy and configure services using AWS/OpenShift
• Debug Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters and microservices
• Install and manage open-source monitoring tools
• Design CI/CD and continuous monitoring architectures
• Work with Docker/Podman containers
