Job summary

Byte Systems, a subsidiary of VTG, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure. The role requires experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and automation tooling.

You will design secure, scalable systems, implement RESTful APIs, and provide 24x7 on-call support in a client-facing environment. Strong scripting, networking, and open-source tooling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience automating installation, monitoring, and O&M tasks using Linux scripting or Python.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Cron, iptables, permissions.
• Experience with OpenVPN, SELinux, NFS and CIFS.
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP.
• Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Experience with VMware technologies (vSphere 7/8, VSAN, Horizon View).

Responsibilities

• Build DevOps pipelines using AWS, Azure, Google, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD and tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Deploy infrastructure using automation tools such as Linux scripting, Python, and PowerShell.
• Design RESTful APIs and integrate with data providers using JSON/XML.
• Provide design, SOPs and security documentation.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
• Assist clients with technical issues and escalate to senior staff when needed.
