Job summary

State Street is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer (AVP) to lead modernization of legacy build and release processes. You will move applications from PVCS/ANT to GitHub-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated releases, while enabling artifact-driven promotion and governance.

You will design scalable delivery frameworks, automate workflows, and collaborate across teams to onboard monolithic C, C++, and Java portfolios into enterprise DevSecOps practices, with a focus on quality,

Responsibilities

Lead modernization of legacy development, build, and release processes to GitHub-based workflows, moving from PVCS/ANT to automated pipelines.
Design and implement modern software delivery solutions, including GitHub Actions, Artifactory-driven promotion strategies, and DevSecOps controls.
Analyze, reverse engineer, and document legacy apps and build processes to support migration planning and long-term maintainability.
Develop automation with Python, Shell, and PowerShell to eliminate manual tasks and improve delivery efficiency.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations teams to onboard apps into enterprise GitHub, SonarQube, and governance frameworks.
Modernize packaging, deployment, and environment promotion with artifact-driven release management and version-controlled deployment standards.
Support migration of legacy UIs and apps to modern architectures, including React-based web apps, API enablement, and container-ready deployments.
