Job summary

Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) in Austin, TX seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to own CI/CD toolchains, IaC standards, and cloud operating practices across on‑premises and multi‑cloud environments. You will partner with Software, DB, Infrastructure, Network, and Information Security teams to deliver reliable platforms with strong security integration and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 6 years of hands-on software and infra delivery.
• Minimum 2 years designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure at production scale.
• Experience with security integrated into delivery (DevSecOps) and audits.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Own infrastructure as code and reusable Terraform modules for cloud provisioning.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure; automate deployments and DR.
• Define deployment strategies (blue/green, canary) and measure delivery performance.
• Establish SLO/SLI/SLA and operational readiness criteria; monitor with Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Embed security into the delivery lifecycle; manage IAM, secrets, encryption, and policy as code.
