Job summary

Alan Partners is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a technology-driven financial services team in San Francisco. You will design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production systems to improve reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to tackle complex technical challenges, focusing on scalable, high-availability architectures and efficient automation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong practical experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with logging solutions such as Fluent Bit and Loki.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and infra troubleshooting.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and develop automation tools.
• Experience with GitOps workflows using Argo CD is a plus.
• Des desirable exposure to cryptocurrency exchanges or trading platforms.
• Hybrid/on-prem exposure is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance monitoring and performance analysis tools to improve observability and reliability.
• Contribute to infrastructure and system architecture design for scalability and resilience.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC practices.
• Maintain and optimise Terraform configurations, Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
• Automate operational processes to improve infrastructure management.
• Monitor system performance and drive incident resolution.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across APAC and EMEA time zones.
