Raft is a U.S.-based defense tech company delivering AI/ML and data solutions to military and government clients, with headquarters in McLean, VA. The Senior DevOps Engineer role spans data platforms, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and secure operations across cloud and on-premises environments.

You will collaborate with software and data engineers, own CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and platform observability, while upholding DevSecOps practices in regulated government contexts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering.
• 5+ years with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitLab CI and GitOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and GitOps patterns for multiple classification levels.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and Ansible to provision and lifecycle-manage platform infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software engineers to understand service architectures and improve deployability, reliability, and observability.
• Support data streaming pipelines with Kafka, Flink, or similar technologies and ensure data integrity.
