Job summary

Raft is building mission-critical data platforms for DoW that process billions of events daily. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design secure Kubernetes infrastructure, manage CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC across cloud and on‑prem environments, enabling reliable deployments at scale.

You will collaborate with software engineers, support streaming pipelines (Kafka/Flink), and enforce secure, compliant deployment practices in regulated government settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering roles.
• 5+ years of production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitOps).
• Experience with data streaming platforms (Kafka, Flink).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong Helm proficiency for multi-service deployments.
• Platform observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit/Loki).
• Java and/or Go development experience; able to read/modify code.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and GitOps approaches.
• Develop and maintain IaC with Terraform and Ansible to provision and manage platforms.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployability, reliability, and observability.
• Support data streaming pipelines (Kafka, Kafka Streams, Flink) and ensure data integrity.
