Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to lead cloud operations for SaaS and hosted services. The role centers on building and operating scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform with deep Kubernetes expertise and strong automation focus.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Product, IT, and security teams to deliver highly available services worldwide, using GitOps, Terraform, and robust monitoring to meet SLAs and security standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on GCP and Kubernetes experience with multi-region deployments.
• Strong scripting skills and IaC with Terraform or equivalent.
• Experience deploying and operating Java/J2EE applications in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure infrastructure on GCP for SaaS/Hosted services.
• Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters (GKE) across regions; manage lifecycle.
• Automate pipelines, monitoring, and incident response with CI/CD and GitOps.
• Monitor stability with Cloud Monitoring/Logging and troubleshoot across stack.
• Scale infrastructure to meet demand with autoscaling and cost optimization.
• Own end-to-end operational responsibility for customer-facing environments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Services, and other departments.
• Implement security controls, audits, and compliance practices.
