Job summary

KBR in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead cloud deployments and DevOps practices onsite. The role blends Kubernetes, GitLab pipelines, containerization, and security considerations to deliver mission-critical solutions.

You will design scalable cloud-native architectures, troubleshoot deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on diverse tech stacks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required for U.S. government work.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualification (Security+ or equivalent) desired.
• 3+ years in cloud engineering, pipeline engineering or Kubernetes development.
• Proficient with Kubernetes and Dockerfile creation.
• 3+ years GNU/Linux commands, shell, and Git version control.
• Experience delivering cloud-native applications and building pipelines (GitLab).
• KCNA or similar certification is desirable.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services is preferred.
• IaC experience with Terraform, and air-gapped network deployment familiarity.
• Knowledge of Cert Manager, OpenSSL, PKI, and Kafka is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy helm charts to Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, publish, and deploy containers.
• Troubleshoot failed deployments and pipelines.
• Containerize custom applications.
• Design high-level cloud-native network and system architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various tech stacks.
