Job summary

Slingshot Aerospace in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable Linux-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, support system administration tasks, and collaborate with software teams to optimize deployment workflows and security.

This role emphasizes Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and MLOps integration, plus DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and practices (Terraform or CloudFormation).
Experience with Linux systems, scripting, and automation.
Strong CI/CD and deployment pipeline experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with offshore and onshore teams to design scalable cloud-native infrastructure.
Architect, build, and maintain Kubernetes environments for production systems.
Lead IaC initiatives (Terraform) to automate provisioning and consistency across AWS.
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, reliable deployments.
Integrate and operationalize MLOps for ML workflows deployment and monitoring.
Embed DevSecOps practices including security controls and compliance.
Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
Collaborate with Platform and Engineering teams to gather requirements and improve system architecture.
Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize availability and cost efficiency.
Support incident response and root cause analysis across the stack.
