Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP, develop CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation with Kubernetes and IaC tools.

This position emphasizes security, monitoring, and global collaboration. You will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable deployments, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and operations in a remote-first,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles.
Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) in production.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation frameworks.
Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Hands-on with Kubernetes.
Networking, security, and system administration fundamentals.
Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Excellent problem-solving and communication, especially in a remote team setting.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
Manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
Automate infrastructure management and operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and system issues in a timely manner.
Implement and enforce security best practices across the cloud environment.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and best practices to improve infrastructure and operations.
