Job summary

Envision seeks a DevOps Engineer IV to join its engineering team as a remote, national role. The candidate will architect and lead CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and DevSecOps across cloud-native and hybrid environments.

You will drive reliability, scalability, and governance while partnering with security, architecture, and product teams. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field and 5 years in DevOps/SRE/Infra with 2+ years in data engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of DevOps/SRE/Infra Eng experience; 2+ years in Data Eng environments.
• Alternative: Master’s degree with 2+ years relevant DevOps experience.
• Experience with AWS and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and DevSecOps across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Establish and enforce enterprise DevOps standards, automation frameworks, and governance models.
• Drive platform reliability, scalability, and performance through improved monitoring, alerting, self-healing, and DR.
• Collaborate with software architects, security engineers, and product teams to align DevOps with security and compliance.
• Lead high-impact incident response and root cause analysis with long-term resolutions.
• Design environmental strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flagging) for complex releases with zero downtime.
• Evaluate emerging tools and processes to keep the DevOps toolchain current and cost-effective.
• Mentor DevOps Engineers I–III with architectural guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Define long-term DevOps roadmap with leadership and participate in budgeting.
• Review pipelines, cloud resources, and automation for security, cost efficiency, and best practices.
• Lead cross-functional groups for modernization, migrations, or transformations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or closely related field
