Job summary

Canals is expanding its DevOps footprint with a senior DevOps Engineer who will design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS. You will enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning with Terraform/Ansible, and build robust observability and security across environments.

You'll collaborate with backend engineers to optimize performance and reliability while owning uptime and deployment quality as the platform grows. Remote-friendly, growth-oriented team culture.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Expertise with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience securing systems, managing secrets, permissions, and network policies.
• Excellent communication and ability to work remotely in a fast-moving team.
