Job summary

Black Book, part of Hearst Transportation, seeks a Mid-to-Senior DevOps Engineer to own cloud platforms and CI/CD automation. You will build and operate scalable AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure, enhance automation, and drive shift-left practices with cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on automating, troubleshooting, and owning solutions from idea through production, with a strong emphasis on observability, security, and cost efficiency across environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps or cloud infrastructure operations.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Improve CI/CD workflows and GitOps.
• Automate operational tasks with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues across applications, containers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Improve observability, reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with development and data teams to promote DevOps and shift-left practices.
• Participate in incident response and help eliminate root causes.
• Document solutions, share knowledge, and mentor teammates.
• Support customer-impacting issues when needed.
