Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is a remote‑first technology company delivering federal civilian solutions. We seek a DevOps Engineer IV to design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI and Jenkins, and to build reusable Terraform modules on AWS for multiple delivery teams.

You will maintain secure Docker images, deploy to ECS/EKS/Fargate, and implement DORA metrics while collaborating in an Agile/SAFe environment. Prior federal exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent
• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background check
• 5+ years hands-on AWS, Terraform, and Git/GitLab in production
• Experience supporting 5+ engineering teams from a shared DevOps/platform function
• Designing and building CI/CD pipelines with quality and security gates
• Strong containerization with Docker and orchestration on AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and vulnerability remediation
• Excellent communication in a collaborative Agile/SAFe environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Create reusable templates and Terraform modules for multiple teams
• Maintain secure base Docker images and deploy on AWS platforms
• Enforce security and quality gates at commit/merge stage
• Develop DORA metrics and CI/CD roadmap for the program
• Author runbooks and deployment documentation; lead knowledge transfers
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and assist with interviews
