Job summary

Skimmer, an Austin-based innovator in pool service platforms, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to own infrastructure behind a new product line. You’ll report to the CTO and collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to drive scalable deployments.

You’ll build CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure resources with Pulumi, and implement observable, secure, high-performance systems that directly impact customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Azure environments (VMs, services) and monitoring tools.
• Proven ability to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Experience creating and refining Node applications with performance focus.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and scripting; Pulumi preferred.
• Strong analytical skill to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Build and own CI/CD pipelines for new product line using Azure DevOps and related tools.
• Manage Azure resources (App Services, PostgreSQL) via infrastructure as code (Pulumi).
• Design deployment workflows prioritizing security, speed, and reliability.
• Stand up monitoring and alerting across applications and databases.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve developer experience.
