Job summary

Redwood Materials, founded to recover and redeploy critical minerals, seeks DevOps engineers to architect, build, and deploy in a hybrid AWS and Kubernetes environment. You will manage AWS resources with CDK, operationalize workloads, and implement monitoring and pipelines across on-prem and cloud.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in DevOps, strong Python, IaC, and security fundamentals, plus experience with Linux, Git, and database basics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role in AWS.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads and containers.

Responsibilities

• Leverage existing in-house AWS architectures and design new ones using CDK.
• Operationalize workloads in AWS and Kubernetes, including monitoring and pipelines.
• Enhance build/test/deploy automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with on-prem counterparts to drive hybrid infra projects.
• Apply security and IaC best practices; perform root cause analysis of production issues.
• Document design and system architecture diagrams.
