Job summary

Redwood Materials in the United States seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate infrastructure in a hybrid AWS/Kubernetes environment. You’ll implement monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC with CDK/Terraform, and collaborate across teams to scale our systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevOps or related roles, strong Python, Linux, and Git skills, and practical AWS and container experience. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on DevOps or similar software engineering in AWS.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services (IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, VPC, DynamoDB).
• Experience with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Fluency in Python preferred.
• Experience with Linux and Git.
• Understanding security best practices.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases a plus.
• Ability to manage production workloads (debugging, monitoring, alerting).

Responsibilities

• Leverage existing in-house AWS architectures and design new ones using CDK.
• Operationalize workloads in AWS and Kubernetes, design monitoring and deployment pipelines.
• Enhance existing and implement new build/test/deploy pipelines.
• Partner with on-prem counterparts for hybrid projects.
• Apply security and automation best practices.
• Perform root cause analysis of production issues.
• Create and maintain design documents and diagrams.
