Job summary

Clarvos is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to bridge software development and operations, focusing on scalable, secure infrastructure for Java/Spring and modern frontend environments.

This senior role emphasizes automation, CI/CD, and collaboration to enable rapid, reliable software delivery. You will design and deploy cloud-native infrastructure, automate pipelines, and embed security into the build process while coordinating with cross-functional teams to improve deployment frequency and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of technical experience at the intersection of software engineering and operations.
• Experience as a Full-Stack or Backend Engineer is required.
• CI/CD mastery with Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Backend knowledge: Java and Spring Boot, memory management, GC, DB connections.
• Cloud & containers: Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Database management: automating migrations and production schemas.
• Strong strategic thinking and operational excellence in software delivery.
• Mentorship to guide junior engineers in DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between software engineers and operations, aligning delivery with operational needs.
• Foster a collaborative culture with a You Build It, You Run It mentality.
• Design, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for frequent deployments.
• Automate testing and deployment, ensuring unit/integration/frontend tests run in pipelines.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks via scripting (Python/Bash) and automation tools.
• Create and maintain IaC for cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Embed DevSecOps security checks into the build process.
• Implement monitoring to track performance and inform code optimization.
• Establish rapid feedback loops to alert the team of issues.
