Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, with a track record of building from scratch.
• Hybrid infrastructure expertise: cloud (AWS) and self-hosted environments, with security risk awareness.
• Deep Kubernetes knowledge: design, operations, and scaling in production.
• Strong networking: VPCs, mesh networks, zero-trust architectures (Tailscale, WireGuard).
• Security-first mindset: IAM, key management, policy enforcement, and hardening production systems.
• CI/CD expertise: robust pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for builds and deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code: proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Scripting & automation: Python, Bash, Go for tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the DevOps culture from the ground up across the company.
• Architect and maintain hybrid infrastructure spanning AWS, bare metal, and Kubernetes.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with thorough tests and logging.
• Build and maintain zero-trust mesh networking (Tailscale/WireGuard).
• Create and enforce security policies, rotation, access controls, and compliance.
• Codify infrastructure decisions as reusable, auditable IaC artifacts.
• Optimize costs while maintaining security and reliability, and drive observability.
