Job summary

Category Labs is seeking a Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to operate Monad infrastructure and push AI-driven operations. You will own IaC, observability, and agentic tooling to safely run a large fleet across mainnet and testnet, while developing guardrails for autonomous agents and model workloads.

You will contribute to designing workflows, incident response, and secure automation as the team scales in a frontier blockchain environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong Linux, systemd, networking, and shell fundamentals.
Hands-on infrastructure-as-code with Ansible and Terraform.
Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted engineering and coding agents.

Responsibilities

Operate the Monad node fleet: health, sync, upgrades, and recovery across mainnet/testnet.
Own infrastructure-as-code: Ansible, Terraform, Atlantis, Kubernetes/GitOps.
Build and operate observability and alerting; create dashboards and alerts with low false positives.
Automate the release pipeline: upgrades, canary rollouts, snapshot/restore.
Design and build agentic operations: develop AI agents and runbooks-as-code with guardrails.
Codify operational knowledge into reusable tools and automation.
Harden nodes, manage secrets, and reduce manual toil.
