Job summary

PayZen is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive automation, stability, and performance across cloud environments. You will design and operate CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and configuration management to support rapid software releases.

You will collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams, participate in on-call rotations, and help implement observability using Prometheus and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps/SRE or infrastructure role.
• Extensive experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic).
• Strong proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
• Solid understanding of web servers, networking, load balancers, and Nginx.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker across public cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain configuration management solutions (Terraform) for consistent provisioning.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable releases.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
• Implement observability with monitoring tools for logging, tracing and alerting.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Bash and Python scripts.
• Collaborate with development, data, and security teams to meet product and compliance needs.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service reliability.

• As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our infrastructure strategy, focusing on automation, stability, and performance across cloud environments. You will drive best practices in CI/CD, configuration management, and monitoring


• In this role, you will report to the Director of DevOps, collaborating closely with our Engineering team

• Develop and maintain robust Configuration Management solutions (Terraform) for consistent environment provisioning and management


• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, reliable, and automated software releases


• Administer and troubleshoot operating systems, encompassing Linux


• Implement and optimize observability practices using monitoring tools like Prometheus for logging, tracing, and alerting


• Automate repetitive tasks and system operations using scripting languages, primarily Bash and Python


• Collaborate closely with development, data, and security teams to ensure infrastructure supports product requirements and compliance standards


• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure service reliability and responsiveness to incidents
