Job summary

Recru is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the enterprise CI/CD platform. You will drive secure, scalable, and automated application delivery across engineering teams while improving platform reliability and DevOps practices.

You will design and support CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, and equivalent tools, and lead automation, governance, and security tooling integration. Remote options may vary by project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Platform/DevOps/SRE or Software Eng roles.
• Proven track record designing and operating enterprise CI/CD platforms.
• Hands-on with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab or similar.
• Strong understanding of software delivery, release management, and deployment automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/Bicep/CloudFormation).
• Experience in Azure, AWS or other cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

Senior Platform Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating the enterprise CI/CD platform. Drives secure, scalable, and automated application delivery across engineering teams, while enhancing platform reliability and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and support enterprise CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar.

• Develop and maintain deployment automation, release workflows, and platform tooling for consistent software delivery.

• Establish and improve platform standards, governance, change management processes, and operational controls.

• Partner with engineering teams to drive DevOps adoption and platform engineering best practices.

• Create Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.

• Build automation for provisioning, configuration management, security controls, compliance reporting, and operational workflows.

• Integrate platform tooling through APIs and automated workflows.

• Enhance platform reliability, observability, resiliency, rollback capabilities, and disaster recovery processes.

• Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.

• Develop operational dashboards, DORA metrics, and engineering performance reporting.

• Integrate and support security tooling such as GitHub Advanced Security, SonarQube, JFrog, and related DevSecOps tools.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Software Engineering.

• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms.

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or comparable CI/CD solutions.

• Strong understanding of software delivery, release management, and deployment automation.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar.

• Experience supporting cloud-based environments in Azure, AWS, or other public cloud platforms.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with ability to articulate architectural decisions, platform ownership responsibilities, and operational support experience.
