Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Manager of DevOps/Cloud Platform to lead a team responsible for CI/CD, IDP, and cloud automation in Azure and AWS. The role combines technical depth with people leadership to improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience.

The candidate will mentor engineers, standardize CI/CD, guide IaC practices, and drive DevSecOps in cloud platforms while partnering with internal teams to deliver scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Hands-on AWS and/or Azure expertise from architecture to operations.
• Extensive Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
• Advanced knowledge of public cloud architecture and operations (Azure and AWS).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, NodeJS, Python, unix shell.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and service mesh technologies.
• Strong collaboration, transparency, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor DevOps / Cloud Engineers; manage performance and development plans.
• Foster collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
• Oversee CI/CD standardization for Java, .Net, and Node.js workloads.
• Drive Internal Developer Portal adoption and golden path enablement.
• Guide Terraform and Infrastructure as Code standards and guardrails.
• Embed DevSecOps best practices into pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Lead Proof-of-Concept initiatives for new tools and automation improvements.
