Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a DevOps Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership and architectural direction for DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering across multiple agile teams.

You will set standards, design scalable platforms, embed security into pipelines, and mentor engineers while driving reliability and observability across AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC tooling. 10+ years of experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
• Proven enterprise-scale DevOps architecture experience.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Automation scripting with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Deep expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of microservices, cloud-native architectures, networking, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural oversight and technical direction for DevOps, CI/CD, and platform engineering across multiple scrum teams.
• Define and evolve standards for build, deployment, infrastructure, and environment management.
• Design reusable reference architectures, templates, and patterns for consistent adoption.
• Lead the design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, release, and deployment workflows.
• Embed security and compliance controls directly into pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Drive adoption of containerized and cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps practices, tools, and architectural decision-making.
