Job summary

AEG is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to architect scalable, secure infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will lead DevOps best practices, automation, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure as code, mentoring peers and driving reliability and developer efficiency.

The role partners with engineering, architecture, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-impact solutions, with a focus on security, performance, and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field.
• 6-8 years of related work experience.
• Experience designing and configuring Azure cloud services (AKS, Functions, Logic Apps, ACR, Front Door, Application Insights, Key Vault, Load Balancers, VNets).
• Experience automating deployments for microservices via CI/CD & IaC.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue/Ember).
• Experience configuring infrastructure alerts and monitoring.
• Experience in cloud DevOps with globally distributed teams.
• Proficiency with Git and scripting (Bash/PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Deploy microservices using IaC within CI/CD pipelines and maintain backups.
• Train and mentor team members; define KPIs for DevOps engineers.
• Manage automated build processes with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and CodeBuild.
• Automate, deploy, and test using webhooks and status checks across cloud platforms.
• Configure automated real-time monitoring and alerts for availability and security.
• Champion ChatOps workflows and perform system administration tasks; report monthly KPIs.
