Job summary

Demandbase, Inc. is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer for the Developer Experience (DevEx) team.

You will set the technical direction for platforms, tooling, and workflows across AWS and GCP, serving senior engineers with scalable, reliable internal platforms. You will drive self-service adoption, define AI-assisted development workflows, and ensure secure, cost-aware operations across Kubernetes-based services and data platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall engineering experience with meaningful hands-on software development (Go, Python, or Java).
• 7+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Proven track record as a technical leader across multiple teams and RFCs/architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-quarter platform strategy across build, test, deploy, and operate stages for services and data pipelines on AWS and GCP.
• Own and evolve the Internal Developer Platform (Backstage service/API/catalog) as a product and drive adoption.
• Lead incidents, retrospectives, and structural fixes for platform infrastructure; mentor engineers across teams.
