Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corp is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on reliability, security, and scalability across environments while mentoring the DevOps team.

You will drive adoption of best practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enable rapid delivery of mission-critical software in a hybrid setting. Strong leadership and hands-on cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of DevOps or related experience; higher degree may substitute.
Experience with microservices, containerization, and cloud-native apps.
Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes and/or OpenShift; cloud vendors.
Experience with GitHub and on-prem Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for consistent environments.
Optimize deployment workflows and release processes for varied products and customers.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance and reliability of distributed systems.
Collaborate with development, QA, product, security and operations teams; promote best practices.
