Job summary

Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep cloud, Kubernetes, and platform operations expertise. This role partners with the Senior DevOps Engineering Manager to scale our cloud platform, improve reliability, and embed intelligent automation across DevOps workflows.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong AWS experience, and Golang proficiency to build internal tools and operators, helping lead platform evolution and drive

Qualifications

10+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production at scale.
Strong AWS expertise; Azure or GCP valued as well.
Proficiency in Golang for building infrastructure/tools.
Solid knowledge of CI/CD systems and pipeline design.
Experience building or operating observability platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable, secure, cost-efficient cloud environments on AWS.
Lead cloud migration and modernization efforts, from VMs to containers and cloud-native.
Architect, deploy, and operate large-scale Kubernetes platforms.
Develop internal tools and automation using Golang.
Own production operations, incident response, and postmortems.
Define and implement SLOs/SLIs and error budgets; enhance observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
