Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead power device development and semiconductor device characterization efforts. The role involves overseeing test equipment and probers, performing wafer and package measurements, and conducting reliability tests.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor device characterization.
Familiarity with HP RMB or SPECS; familiarity with Splus/R, Python, Matlab or JMP is a plus.
Familiarity with Unix systems.
Proficiency with lab equipment including automated probers, semiconductor parameter analyzers and S‑parameter systems.
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso for semiconductor layout.
Knowledge of device physics of tested devices.

Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain test equipment and prober operations.
Perform wafer level and package measurements including I‑V curves and reliability tests.
Conduct transient measurements such as gate charge and reverse recovery.
Perform S‑parameter measurements using HP8753D and IC‑CAP software.
Develop new software as needed by device development and modeling teams.
Collaborate with team members to debug test chip programs.
