Job summary

GBH’s New England Public Media (NEPM) in Springfield, MA seeks a Senior Development Officer to lead donor engagement, manage gifts, and drive annual fund, major gifts, bequests, and grants. Hybrid schedule with local travel and occasional evening/weekend hours.

You’ll collaborate across GBH’s Development team to upgrade offerings for the Murrow Society and improve donor engagement, reporting to the Senior Development Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant, progressively complex work experience; annual fund and/or major gifts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals through meetings, events, video, phone and written communications.
• Collaborate with Senior Development Manager on donor engagement and retention strategies.
• Prepare proposals, briefings and reports and meet regularly with donors.
• Record and track all donor activity using NEPM’s CRM.
