Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Development Manager to evaluate and deliver complex retail and industrial projects, from site selection to permitting and contract execution.

You will craft critical path schedules, preliminary budgets, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to secure resources and drive milestones. The role requires deep experience in pre-construction, entitlements, and design, with a focus on ground-up builds, expansions, and remodels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial retail development, specifically grocery.
• Pre-construction experience (entitlements, due diligence, design, permitting).

Responsibilities

• Independently manages complex retail/industrial builds from site selection to contract execution.
• Coordinate with real estate, design engineering, entitlements, construction, finance, and landloards to secure resources and milestones.
• Communicate risks, decisions, and project status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor procurement and ensure capabilities meet project needs.
• Lead safety program implementation and adherence across the project team.
• Develop site plans, scopes, and schedules with design teams and external partners.
• Manage entitlements, long-lead procurement, and schedule optimization.
• Prepare and present project status/risk reports to management.
