Job summary

Avery Hall seeks a Senior Development Manager to lead development, design, and construction on mixed-use and multifamily projects as part of our design-forward development office.

This hands-on role partners with the VP of Development, Director of Construction, and senior leadership through concept, entitlement, GMP negotiation, construction, and closeout, with a strong on-site presence and office time at our Gowanus headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree strongly preferred in Real Estate Development, Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.
• 10+ years in real estate development, construction, architecture, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of building systems and means/methods for multifamily and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly OAC and design meetings, set agenda, drive decisions, own notes and actions.
• Oversee RFP and contracting for architects, engineers, consultants, and CM.
• Coordinate development of mixed-income rental projects with regulatory timelines.
• Walk sites weekly to monitor progress, quality, and sequencing.
