Georgetown University, based in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior leader as Managing Director of Development for the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC). You will provide strategic vision to maximize philanthropic potential, oversee a frontline development team, and personally manage a portfolio to achieve annual fundraising goals, including major gifts and special events.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10–12+ years of fundraising experience, with 5+ years in healthcare philanthropy.
• Proven leadership with staff supervision and team development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage diverse donors, board members, volunteers, and alumni.
• Experience advancing gifts in an academic medical environment.
• Strong track record of meeting major gift and campaign goals.
• High energy, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Mansioni

• Oversee front-line development team of four major gift officers and Bellringer team.
• Develop and manage a portfolio including individuals, foundations, and corporations; aim to raise $5M+ annually.
• Drive donor engagement with ~75 personal meetings yearly to advance giving opportunities.
• Collaborate with GUMC Advancement and MedStar partners to align fundraising priorities.
• Lead event design, strategy, and stewardship for cancer center fundraising.
