Job summary

The Maryland Center on Economic Policy (MDCEP) seeks a Director of Development to plan and implement a sustainable fundraising strategy. This newly created role reports to the CEO and partners with the VP of External Relations to diversify revenue streams and support program growth.

Ideal candidates have a proven track record in fundraising, outstanding writing and relationship-building skills, and a commitment to equity and social justice.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of development experience.
• Proven success in fundraising and revenue growth.
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships across race and identity groups.
• Commitment to antiracism, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy.
• Grow local and national funders, major and small donors, and institutional partners.
• Oversee LOIs, proposals, and grant reports with staff and consultant.
• Manage donor communications and fundraising calendars.
• Coordinate development operations including budgets, reporting, and donor records.
