Job summary

The American Heart Association in Nashville is seeking a Sr. Development Director to drive revenue for Heart Ball and Go Red for Women campaigns. This office-based role requires living in the Nashville market with local travel and occasional overnights.

You will lead fundraising efforts, cultivate executive leadership for committees, and partner with staff to plan engaging donor events and communications. Strong networking and strategic fundraising experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of fundraising or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel up to 75% locally with overnight trips as needed
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and event volunteers.
• Lead member engagement for Cor Vitae giving society and plan engagement events.
• Plan events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Support campaign communication plans with the Communications Director
