Job summary

ALSAC, the fundraising arm of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, invites a Sr. Advisor Area Development to join our Southern California fundraising initiatives in Los Angeles.

You will drive signature events, engage high-profile donors, recruit corporate sponsors, and partner with internal teams to maximize revenue and impact. The role requires strategic leadership, exceptional relationship-building, and a proven track record in philanthropy, with travel 15–20%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of fundraising, development, customer service, or sales experience.
• Experience building and growing high-value events ($1M+ revenue) and donor stewardship programs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with donors and volunteers.
• Ability to lead collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
• Proven track record in prospect research, sponsorship solicitation, and program planning.
• Comfort with travel (roughly 15–20%) including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow multiple high-value fundraising events with revenue goals.
• Cultivate and manage donor relationships to expand giving and engagement.
• Recruit and engage corporate sponsors and leadership donors.
• Collaborate with program owners to align stewardship and financial analysis.
• Drive data-driven donor engagement and personalized communications to donors.
• Represent ALSAC/St. Jude in community and donor-facing events.
• Strategize cultivation and stewardship plans to increase overall revenue.
